What did I know of love when we first met?
That your tears endeared you to me even more.
I nearly wept too tho I had no idea why.
When I heard you I loved your soft voice
Like the warm-hearted sister I never had
I could never let you go after that.
Your smile killed off any chance of bitterness
In me. Had I died then life would’ve been full
Enough. As it is even now we are apart
Yet I remain touched by your magick
& know the gamut from joy to pain
Would encompass me my limbs useless
If I tried to run. I am captured. You always owned me.
When I was a child & you weren’t even born.
I have been yours since before then.
The memory of your elegant form is light
Returning from a distance, coming close, closer.
I’ve always worshipped all of you; your scent, your taste.
The almost invisible little blond hairs on your arm,
The long firm lusciousness of your thighs
& that place beyond all earthly pleasure between them
I’m yours always to be done with as you will.
I’ll suffer in silence gladly if needs be.
I hate you so much, don’t I…?
