INXS (pronounced "in excess", In-XS) were an Australian rock band, formed as The Farriss Brothers in 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales.[1][2] Mainstays were Garry Gary Beers on bass guitar, Andrew Farriss on guitar and keyboards, Jon Farriss on drums, Tim Farriss on lead guitar and Kirk Pengilly on guitar and saxophone.[3] For 20 years, INXS were fronted by Michael Hutchence on lead vocals, whose "sultry good looks" and magnetic stage presence made him the focal point of the band.[1][3] Initially known for their New Wave/ska/pop style, they later developed a harder pub rock style,[1] including funk and dance elements.

"Never Tear Us Apart" is a single released by Australian rock group INXS in August 1988. It was also included on the band's sixth studio album, Kick. The music was written by Andrew Farriss, who recorded a blues-style demo and gave it to Michael Hutchence. The INXS singer then penned a personal love lyric, which was straight from the heart.[1]
"Never Tear Us Apart" is a sensuous ballad, layered with synthesizers and containing dramatic pauses before the instrumental breaks. Kirk Pengilly lends a cathartic saxophone solo near the end. According to the liner notes of Shine Like It Does: The Anthology (1979–1997), the song was originally composed on piano as a bluesy number in the style of Fats Domino. Producer Chris Thomas suggested a synth-based arrangement instead.
The video for the song, featuring an extended intro, was filmed in various locations in Prague[2] along with "Guns in the Sky" and "New Sensation", all directed by Richard Lowenstein.

Never Tear Us Apart
Don’t ask me
What you know is true
Don’t have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart
We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I’d make wine from your tears
I told you
That we could fly
‘Cause we all have wings
But some of us don’t know why
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never ever tear us apart
--song written by Andrew Farriss & Michael Hutchence
Comment: Again its evident, love is stronger than death or anything else, as long as the lovers are worthy. Some love is spread around. Not everybody understands that kind of love. But sometimes it just bees that way. Other loves are specific; seemingly destined. The lovers sometimes don't know. It can be confusing. The more experience you have sometimes the better you can deal with it, make it work, if it ends you don't have to get permanently broken up about it. Time heals. But sometimes it don't.
Is it love at first sight? Or survival of the species cheering you, urging you on? What does it matter? I mean really, what does it matter? Love transcends the chemistry, the sum of its parts, reason that ofttimes is so overrated. Love is immortal, hopefully. Even if it isn't I'd like to believe it is. And once gone in eternal sleep in the same earth as my beloved, will it matter one bit? As long as there are other lovers who know, love will be so. (At least, that's how I feel about it...)
