Bears’ Hall of Famer Dan Hampton is not a big fan of President Obama.
Hampton has decided he will not attend the President’s White House celebration on Oct. 7 honoring the 1985 Super Bowl Champs.
“It’s my own personal choice,” Hampton told “The Mully and Hanley Show” on WSCR earlier in the week. “I’m not a fan of the guy in the White House, and, hey, it was 25 years ago. Let it go.”
Obama, a Bears fan himself, extended an invite to the ‘85 Bears to make up for the celebration they never had. The Bears’ White House trip under President Reagan in 1986 was canceled when the space shuttle Challenger exploded two days after the Super Bowl.
Hampton was also upset that family members weren’t invited.
