There's a big differnece between a rapist or even a foul-minded troglodyte & a lover with class-warrior tendencies. For one thing when they ask me at the hospital what my religion is I tell them, "No preference."
But sometimes I half-joking inform my hosts depending on their perceived receptivity to a little levity at the moment:"Women." And that's the truth.
You can't have life, love or revolution without them!

#2 - Wed Feb 23, 2011 11:37 PM ESTThe right-wing has descended into authoritarianism. Authoritarians need to take hostages; they cannot indulge their power lust without subjects. Women, gays, and non-whites will serve as starters. Non-christians are on that list, too. So are the poor. These hostages are meant to take orders, and then thank their oppressors. Authoritarians like reassurance and love from the people they make miserable. They're funny like that.
