When Their Supporters Call Obama a Terrorist and Demand His Assassination, McCain and Palin Remain Silent

advertisement

During this rally, a McCain supporter answers the question posed by Senator Country Last, "Who is the real Barack Obama?" The unmistakable answer: terrorist!

McCain says nothing.

From The Washington Post and AmericaBlog on Palin's rally:

"Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," Palin said.

"Boooo!" said the crowd.

"And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'" she continued.
"Boooo!" the crowd repeated.

"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.

Palin went on to say that "Obama held one of the first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers's living room, and they've worked together on various projects in Chicago."

Palin says nothing.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Love those Whitewing racists. Alive and well and as stupid as ever.

BTW -- The Palin Camp is also promoting anti-Semitism (her preacher says God is plaguing Israel with terrorism because they haven't accepted Jesus as God...) and blaming the Jewish bankers for the current crisis. I've been lobbying for years for affirmative action for WASP bankers but for some reason nobody hears me. I am as a voice crying in the wilderness.

Also saw a clip of some Blackshirt cop addressing a McCain-Palin rally. "Barack Hussein Obama…! Barack Hussein Obama! Spooky spooky…!" Why don't they just start holding Republican rallies over in Nuremberg…

I just saw a clip of Palin compared to one of Betty Boop (winking) running for President on tonight's Canadian news. LOL.

Glad

Gina Gershon had a Palin impersonation out there before Tina Fey.

But what I'm really waiting for is Amy Winehouse's impersonation…

McCain was playing a prank on another pilot and the punch line was he was responsible for almost burning down his own aircraft carrier, the USS Forrestal ! When will the Corporate Media at least mention this episode in some detail. Obama called McCain reckless. He's responsible for the deaths of fellow sailors. Talk about cover-ups and slaps on the wrist.

Wow, this is really sounding like just-prior-to-Nazi-Germany, rousing crowds like that. Very frightening.

They are evil. Yes, evil. They are one small step short of inciting violence at their rallies. They are letting physical threats go unchallenged.

Truer words were never spoken.

McCain- Palin are asking "who is Obama"? A better question is WHO IS SARAH PALIN?

Where , and why did she emerge and begin to use HATE and Racism to fan the emotions of  their "christian" base?

Palin's husband belonged to a radical group for seven years! they detested the US and said so .They supported leaving our Union!

Who is the TRUE radical and what is she really doing to the United States?

Sarah Palin knows Evil and she knows how to use it.

So who is SARAH PALIN?  I think we better find out!

I'm really starting to get worried about Palin's ranting and raving, stirring up racism (so is Mcshame). She has got to be held accountable politically and lawfully. Inciting violence as she obviously does all of the time, especially this last go around when the press showed up....This needs to be televised about her. They say and I have said she is an Albatross around McCain neck. Yeah she is and after watvhing the debates the other night it appeared "my friends" (me butt) tha he wasn't getting around vry well at all. Kinda stiff. Also that tone of voiice she jused of  Ignor rbbbing his hands together with a ghouish gleems saying "my friends" should biing pictures to peoples minds of what McCain is like. Palin? God only knows what she was bred from.

I am absolutely horrified.  That sounds like some nasty politics; a hate rally in a third world country.  Those kind of people show they don't belong in this country'  Palin's silence prove she doesn't belong in any government office in the united states.  Put her back in her cage and put some tape on her mouth.

This kind of reaction shows how McCain's lies and continuing his low morality and ethical attacks are affecting America. Unbelievable that Americans want him in any public office.  Hopefully someone in the GOP will come to their senses because Palin and McCain will not.

God help us all we are becoming a sub standard ethical and moral nation.  It is the very thing we tell our children not to do.  Play fair play hard and respect everyone.   It is not always wether you win or loose but how you play the game.

This kind of theatrical BS will only help my canidate Barack Obama 2008.

Sarah Palin's painting a picture that Obama is a terrorist, and her stirring crowds to say "kill him" is over stepping the bounds into perpetuating a hate crime.   If this happens, Americans will see to it she and those support of her spewing these words will be held accountable if anything happens to Obama......The first African-American and they dare tread into instagating hate for Obama.......This needs to be addressed more by the media!!!  Before some idiot acts upon it.

Hate crimes (also known as bias motivated crimes) occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her membership in a certain social group, usually defined by racial group, religion, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, or political affiliation.[1]
In Wisconsin v. Mitchell, the Supreme Court of the United States unanimously found that "bias-motivated crimes are more likely to provoke retaliatory crimes, inflict distinct emotional harms on their victims, and incite community unrest.... The State's desire to redress these perceived harms provides an adequate explanation for its penalty-enhancement provision over and above mere disagreement with offenders' beliefs or biases. As Blackstone said long ago, 'it is but reasonable that, among crimes of different natures, those should be most severely punished which are the most destructive of the public safety and happiness.'"[25] It is said that, when the core of a person’s identity is attacked, the degradation and dehumanization is especially severe, and additional emotional and physiological problems are likely to result. Society then, in turn, can suffer from the disempowerment of a group of people. Furthermore, it is asserted that the chances for retaliatory crimes are greater when a hate crime has been committed.

Please, oh please, somebody forward the comment posted by Veronica Pais to Keith Olberman at MSNBC. Those guys are always ready to hold the Republican's feet to the fire on these outrageous and dangerous tactics. McCain's campaign handlers are aware that this is ugly gamesmanship, but I fear that too many faithful followers are true believers in this characterization of Obama as a dangerous Muslim.

One more thing. I am not a fan of  conspiracy theories, but I have been kinda hooked on this race, mostly out of abject fear that this election will in fact be hijacked. I was listening to the string of clips of the rallies where the words "terrorist","kill him" and "Traitor"were heard, but yesterday they showed a fourth instance, and an odd thing occured to me. The voices heard shouting these things sounded similar to me. Anyone interested in a voice comparison test ? The conclusion that the same person was  at multiple rallies inciting this reaction would be beyond what any rational citizen could envision. There wouldn't be a backlash. It would be more like a bullwhip. Who wants to play Woodward-Bernstein?

Was former Weatherundergrounder Bill Ayer's ever prosecuted and convicted for committing acts of terrorism (when Obama was a child) ? No! But that snake "Old Man" McCain and his nasty little girlie continue insulting the intelligence of the American People--particularly their own "timorous, sniveling, poltroonish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag in Christendom since the end of the Middle Ages " supporters, who don't seem to mind!

Hey, Brenda, that's a good idea; some journalist should use her paper's equipment to do a comparison.

Well  I tell ya', Palin is scaring the sh%% out of me. It seems she is being used as the rabble rowser and she loves the job. I'm from a small county in TX and I've gotta tell you that if a ctowd, gtoup gets together and one starts throwing "rocks", soon anothr joins adn then the whole bunch get in on it whether it is what they beleive or not. Palin should be taken to task for her actions and I mean not only political but lawfully for inciting violence. That's the way it works folks. She's going from one small town to another and starting her diatribe and it's getting everyone nto a frenzy. I wonder when somebody from the other team is going to show up and shut her up! She sealed the deal for me not voting for McCain. She's an out of control radical and that is the last thing we need "a heart beat away"
